Our health education staff does the crucial job of making our partner villages aware of the common causes of illness, disease and death in the Busoga region. As a registered nurse, Irene is able to identify and treat cases that can’t wait, but our main goal is the education of the entire community so that we can prevent those events from happening in the first place.
The Empowerment curriculum covers common diseases, virus transfers, pre-natal and post-natal care, hygiene, and other common health issues.
