Ginger Holton – Advisory Board

Ginger joined the Advisory Board in 2023. She is a physician and faculty in the Global Health and Tropical Medicine program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she gets to combine all the things she loves—working as an adult hospitalist and pediatric urgent care physician, teaching residents and fellows, and traveling to work at international hospitals and clinics. She first became passionate about global and public health while living in rural Mozambique and worked in community health, focusing on women’s and children’s health issues and teaching about HIV, nutrition, and family planning. She lives on a small farm with her husband Kyle and three children—Asher, Eli and Eden.

What Ginger loves about Kibo: “Mostly the people—I know and respect so many of the people who are passionate about Kibo. I’m also passionate about the Health Education program.”
