Bobby Garner – Trustee

Bobby and his wife Candice worked for Kibo in Uganda for seven years, where he served as Kibo’s first Country Director. They have four children.

Bobby’s favorite Kibo program is the Mvule program. He feels that the Mvule Project offers an interesting marker of transformation over time. The height and girth of a particular tree planted shows us how long we’ve been working toward reconciliation and renewal in a place. You can now sit under the shade of trees planted in the earliest project locations, reflecting on the transformation that has occurred over the last 20+ years.

What Bobby loves about Kibo: “I love Kibo’s work and the way it rides on an expectation of flourishing for communities, partners, employees, donors and even board members. Being part of such transformation inspires me to be better at home and at work.”
